Egypt defend against Senegal at the Women's U23 African Nations Championship in Kenya
Nairobi, Kenya, October 26, 2016 - Defending champions Egypt lead the 2016 Women's U23 African Nations Championship at the Kasarani Sports Hall in Nairobi after they claimed a third successive victory with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-6, 25-16) win against Senegal on the fourth day of the five-nation tournament.
Meanwhile, Rwanda defeated Botswana 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 15-17) to stay in contention for the title.
The competition will come to a close on Thursday when Botswana play Egypt at 14.00 before Kenya and Rwanda meet at 16.00.
Egypt dominated their match against Senegal thanks to their serving and efficiency in attack. They improved their tournament win-loss ratio to 3-0, while Senegal end their campaign on four defeats. Rwanda now have two wins for one loss, while Botswana are on one win and two losses.
