 After leading her teammates to claim the gold medal in 2017 Women's U23 African Nations Championship, Al Askalany is looking forward for more of the same success and seize a good place among the top level teams in this year edition of Women's U23 WCH.

Al-Ahly SC Middle Blocker has been crowned as the best Middle Blocker in Africa in 3 different occasions, most recently with the Egyptian Women Senior Team in the 2017 Women's African Nations Championship, despite the shocking -3 set- collapse of the final match against the hostess Kenya.
In spite of her young age, Farida gained a lot of experience in both indoor and beach volleyball and now she is willing to pass this experience to her teammates for more inspiration to help them achieve a new history written by their generation in FIVB 2017 Women's U23 WCH.
