Team profile

Argentina

The Argentina's U23 Team participated in the first World Championship in the category in 2013, in Mexico, and in that opportunity finished in the tenth place. Then, in 2015, failed to qualify and had its revenge for this 2017. Although it couldn't get the ticket at the South American Championship, then disputed the Panamerican Cup in Peru winning an epic match to the Peruvians to secure its place for the 2017 World Championship. On that tournament Argentina finished in the second place.

Coach

López, Martín

López, Martín

Is his first year as coach of the U23 Argentine Team and has Martin Castro as his assistant, who also joined the squad this year. He was born in Formosa and has a long experience in the national volleyball with many years leading Union de Formosa in the local A1 Argentine Male League. In addition, he was part of the technical staff of the Men's National Team and led the U23 Men Team when it played the World Championship in Dubai in 2015.
