Team profile

Turkey

Turkish U23 Women Team players has been taken part in the World Championship for the past two session. Their first result was at 2015 when they became second played against Brazil at home. Second session took place in Mexico where they completed 5th.
This year team members started to prepare for the World Championship in July and they will continue in August and until they depart for Slovenia. Friendly camp with Hungary Senior Women Team will be one important camp for them to test their level in international arena. Some of the team players of U23 take part also in the Senior Women Team.
Their target to have better result compaired the previous one in Mexico.

Ataman Guneyligil

Ataman GUNEYLIGIL is the head coach of an important women club, Galatasaray competing in the highest division of the Turkish National League. He will Show his performance in the national women team of U23 in Slovenia.
Mr. Güneyligil was born in 1981 at Istanbul. He studied physical education at Marmara University and started his career as a coach at 1997 in Altinyurt Sports Club as youth level coach. He was transfered to Günes Sigorta at 2003. Günes Sigorta, now known as Vakifbank was an important moment for him as moving up to Senior level. He continued in Günes Sigorta Women Club until 2006. Following 2 years until 2008, he worked at Besiktas Women Team.
Between 2008-2009 he was the assistant-coach of Galatasaray Sports Club.
In Dicle University he acted as the head coach between 2010-2011. As of 2011, he has been working in Galatasaray Women Club. Until 2015 he was the assistant coach. As of 2015 he now is the head coach of the GS Women Team which will compete in the Champions League for 2018 Cup Season of the CEV.
For the past 10 years he was invited to the national teams for different ctaegories.
